Speeding Tickets (Gurr!!!!)

For those of you unaware of my plight: I got TWO (YES TWO) speeding tickets on my way to Kelly's surprise birthday party on Jan. 10. No laughing.

I'm quite positive that all of the chatting, talking, and smoozing my way out of tickets over the years caught up with me on the day of all days: Kelly's birthday!

You see, there have been numerous times, that I've been zipping along, on my way to Kelly's, been pulled over and charmed my way out of it. Kelly hardly ever get's out of 'em. I always do. Always. Well, until her birthday.

My gift to her, was finally getting slapped like everyone else. I refuse to admit that it could be the wrinkles lining my face, and I don't have the looks of days gone by. It has to have been my own karma! And, a gift for Kelly.

For those wanting the details, I got pulled over in Beaver. He wrote me up for 83. Then, in Cedar City. And, I SWEAR I wasn't speeding then. I had it set on cruise control at 75 MPH. He got me for 76 (apparently there was some construction) but sheesh, can't they have a little pity on someone who just received their first ticket some 40 minutes before?

So, I spent the afternoon online, at traffic school. I passed. And the good news is that they have a referral program! So, please, all of you needing to go to traffic school, give 'em my name. I'll get $3 off my next course at "Go to Traffic School.com"

Beaver is where I got my first ticket too. They are ruthless there. That stinks that you had to go to traffic school. Hopefully you have better luck next time you head down to SG.

Congratulations on your graduation from traffic school! Actually, a more appropriate greeting would be "Please accept my condolences in your having to support Southern Utah's speed ticket revenues."

This cracks me up. Doesn't everyone know that you slow down through Nephi, Beaver and Fillmore? Hummm... and probably Cedar City too.
